In the midst of an existential crisis, global pop icon Mother Mary (Anne Hathaway) returns to her exiled former collaborator, fashion designer Sam (Michaela Coel), the woman who once crafted her public image. After a decade-long separation, the two are forced to confront their bitter feud while preparing for Mary's most ambitious show yet.
As the two women reconnect, their uneasy reunion brings old conflicts to the surface. While preparing for the performance, they must confront the fractured partnership and the carefully crafted image that once defined them both, ultimately challenging their understanding of identity, loyalty, and the true cost of reinvention.
