Hamilton Overview

The true story behind one of America's foremost founding fathers and first U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the Caribbean who became George Washington's right-hand man during the American Revolutionary War. The 11-time Tony award-winning musical also won the 2016 Grammy for best musical theatre album and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. 

This production was filmed live at The Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway in June of 2016, with the original Broadway cast, including Tony Award-winners Lin-Manuel Miranda as Alexander Hamilton; Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson; Renée Elise Goldsberry as Angelica Schuyler; Leslie Odom, Jr. as Aaron Burr; Tony Award nominees Christopher Jackson as George Washington; Jonathan Groff as King George; Phillipa Soo as Eliza Hamilton; and Jasmine Cephas Jones as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds; Okieriete Onaodowan as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison; and Anthony Ramos as John Laurens/Philip Hamilton.
