A bad adaptation of Homer’s Odyssey with poor character development and casting choices. Odysseus was a cunning, heroic warrior, wise and sometimes ruthless. Not the “beefcake” portrayal of Brad Pitt who seems to be content with standing in the background. Telemachus was also not convincing. Holland was too wimpish. Finally, the loud crescendos during fighting scenes were irritating and unnecessary. The 1990’s Odyssey was miles ahead of this “creative” misinterpretation.

I thought the movie was absolutely boring I was just praying for it to end. Storyline is so drawn out so boring. Not much real action and so on it was just this really really long boring storyline. I was glad it was over

It was epic in every sense. Of course, there's some relatively minor twists like seeing Eliot Page again (BTW had a small, but crucial role and rocked it!), or Zendaya's role revealed at the end. Everyone did a fantastic job. I think every actor drops everything to be in a Christopher Nolan pic. It's smart and so well filmed and acted. There will likely be a LOT of awards. Ok, the eating scene (if you know, you know), was sick. Like horror movie sick and really well done. I'd absolutely see it again, but next time with ear plugs, because some sounds or music/drum beating was just over the top loud.
