28 Years Later

I haven’t seen 28 Days / Weeks Later, so that was a fresh experience for me. I was pleasantly surprised! This is not your usual Zombie movie… sure, quite a few brains are being splashed around and a lot of gore, but the story stays central. The final 30min are especially moving, love the great performances of Alfie and Ralph Fiennes there. Cinematography is outstanding, starting with the ultra-wide Cinerama format (1:2.76) and the beautifully arranged shots of the Northern England landscapes, very inventive using drones and smart phone arrays (a hint of the Matrix movies here). Good movie!
